Why do you baptize children? This is often the question of people who do not know the doctrine of Catholic baptism. Some non-Catholics also believe that Baptism is necessary and gives us freedom from sin. But many protesters also think that it is only a symbol of the desire to follow Christ, without the real effect of the soul. While most Protestants agree that Baptism is a good idea, many do not believe it is necessary; and many think that it is not biblical to baptize children. Some fundamentalists believe that baptism by immersion only accepts.
What Is the Method of Catholic Baptism?
The Catholic Church teaches that Baptism is necessary for salvation and change, which causes us to be born again with the Spirit that is regarded as the children of God. Through Baptism we receive the life-giving, divine blessing of the Holy Spirit. This blessing removes the original sin that shines on every soul because of the fallen attributes we inherited from Adam and Eve (Isaiah 51: 5). Church authorization by baptism is to be baptized by water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19), as the primary path to God through his Church. The Church baptizes infants from earlier times and continues to do so now. The Church also taught in Catechism that Baptism should follow in order to properly assist the baptized in his Christian journey. Both sinking and sprinkling are acceptable forms of baptism in the Catholic Church.
Why is it that Roman Catholic baptism does not sink?
Answer: Because Catholic baptism is a baptism in the Holy Spirit. We can read that letter in the Acts;
Acts 1: 5
[5] For truly John baptized with water; but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit no sooner.
And this baptism in the Holy Spirit is Christ's baptism. That's what we read in San Mateo's letter;
Matthew 3:11
[11] In truth I baptize you with water for repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, that I am not worthy to bear his shoe: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
Our friends, it's very clear that the baptism is better in the Holy Spirit because it is Christ's baptism that brings salvation.
Why is the child baptized, what to get a baby for baptism?
Answer: Children should be baptized in Catholics because our children are among the promises of God. That's what we read about;
Acts 2: 38-39
[38] And Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
[39] For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call upon him.
Did you read it? It is very clear that the child is with Christ's promise of salvation.
