Human courage not only protects oneself but also the courage of life future. If we have the courage of life we must seek the most powerful of all, the Lord of heaven and earth, that is Jesus Christ. We should trust him because we cannot do any success without his blessing in our struggle.
Now the question is, what does the Bible say about courage? We have many bible verses about courage even in old testament or even in the new covenant. This is to give importance to the book of Deuteronomy saying;
Deuteronomy 31:6 (Bible kjv) old testament
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
This encourages us to live a life of boldness, not to worry about anything because we have a savior who is the Lord God. He will help us if we trust in him and believe in him. Not our own understanding is fundamental but we rely on God because his plan is the best plan for us and will lead us to a better path.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (Bible kjv) old testament
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Bible Verses Courage New Testament
Not only in the old testament have inspirational verses about courage, but we also read the new testament. For example, what Paul said to Timothy;
2 Timothy 1:7 (Bible kjv) new testament
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
We know that God is the one who gives us power not to fear, that is, if we fear, another creature that gives it, so please don’t fear. God also gives love and peace of mind, so we need to take her seriously. Paul was very bold to speak to the Philippians;
Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Jesus Christ also left us with joyful words; what does the bible say about?
John 16:33 – “These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Mark 5:36 – “As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he said to the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.”
That are the best verses for the question of what does the bible say about courage in life that we should analyse. Jesus Christ himself urges us not to fear anything and to assure us that he is the agent of all, he is our savior. We will thank and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ the Savior! Amen.
